Food Prices in DKI Jakarta Friday (29/8): Red Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (29/8/2025) at 11:17 AM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include packaged wheat flour, garlic bulb, premium rice, pure beef, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, medium rice, consumption salt, Minyakita, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp2,187 (4.83%) to Rp47,500 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel fish prices dropped the deepest by Rp2,375 (5.67%) to Rp39,500 per kg.
