Latest Food Prices in East Java: Onions Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (23/02/2025) at 09.48 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies (keriting), skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, shallots, and red onions.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onions experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,369 (4.85%) to Rp29,579 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of granulated salt decreased the most sharply by Rp462 (4.71%) to Rp9,350 per kg.
