Food Prices Wednesday (6/8) in South Sumatra: Beef, Chili, and Oil Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (6/8/2025) at 12:21 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 increased and 11 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include consumption salt, broiler chicken meat, large red chili, broiler eggs, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, imported dry soybeans, premium rice, red cayenne pepper, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp1,354 (3.99%) to Rp35,280 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper decreased the most by Rp1,399 (3.37%) to Rp40,063 per kg.
