East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Friday, January 19, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (19/1/2024) at 12:03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, garlic cloves, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp410 (4.28%) to Rp9,980 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,810 (4.63%) to Rp37,250 per kg.
