Current Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (17/4/2025) at 14.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), shallots, table salt, medium-quality rice (SPHP), and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic cloves, packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour, and large red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp158 (1.63%) to Rp9,838 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the largest price decrease of Rp4,471 (6.1%) to Rp68,841 per kg.
