Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Sugar, Oil, and Chilies Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (27/5/2024) at 15.25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken meat, skipjack tuna, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest, up by Rp410 (0.86%) to Rp48,000 per kg. Mackerel prices decreased the most, down by Rp500 (1.59%) to Rp31,040 per kg.
