The daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province has decreased by 5.57% over the past month.

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 14:44 WIB, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province has decreased by Rp 500 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 39,500.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp 34,650.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in West Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 16.18% from the previously recorded price of Rp 34,000.

The record high for the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in September 2023 with an increase of 38.73%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in September 2023 with a decrease of -27.92%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sumatra show seven commodities decreased and 14 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are: Daily Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium Quality Rice II, Super Quality Rice II, Rice in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in West Sumatra Province:
