Latest Food Prices in East Java: Prices of Oil, Rice, and Beef Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (9/5/2024) at 17:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, chicken eggs, broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, red chilies, dry soybeans (import), red cayenne peppers, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken increased the most by Rp310 (0.85%) to Rp36,600 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybeans (import) decreased the least by Rp580 (4.92%) to Rp11,220 per kg.
