The 2017 State Budget Shows the Largest Increase in the National Police's Budget

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) received the largest budget increase in the 2017 State Budget (APBN) compared to the 2017 Draft State Budget (RAPBN). In the 2017 APBN, the budget for the Polri increased by 16.02 percent to Rp 84 trillion. This increase was the highest compared to the 14 other Ministries/Institutions (K/L) that received the largest budgets.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) experienced the largest budget cut in the 2017 APBN, namely 7.92 percent, to Rp 9.3 trillion compared to the 2017 RAPBN. Of the 15 K/L with the largest budgets, 9 experienced budget cuts, 4 experienced increases, and the remainder saw no change. The total budget for these 15 K/L with the largest budgets in 2017 reached Rp 652.2 trillion, an increase of approximately Rp 2.9 trillion or 0.43 percent from the 2017 RAPBN.
