Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Up, Salt Down (Friday, April 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (12/4/2024) at 11:23 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, broiler chicken, pure beef, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was Indian mackerel, up Rp7,910 (26.21%) to Rp38,090 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was corn at the farmer level, down Rp690 (7.97%) to Rp7,970 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,910 per kg (down 0.51%)
