The Price of Low-Quality Grade II Rice in Maluku is the Highest Nationally (Friday, August 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 13,900 per kg for low-quality grade II rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, August 9, 2024. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 13,870 per kg.

The daily price of low-quality grade II rice in Maluku's modern markets was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 17,050 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade II rice in this province is higher, previously recorded at Rp 12,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, low-quality grade II rice was sold at Rp 16,550 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality grade II rice was Rp 15,800 per kg in South Sumatra, Rp 15,800 per kg in Bali, and Rp 15,600 per kg in Aceh.

Meanwhile, 13 provinces had low-quality grade II rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for low-quality grade II rice were Riau Islands, Jambi, and West Nusa Tenggara.
