Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (22/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, milkfish, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most by Rp1,040 (3.26%) to Rp32,980 per kg. Shallots prices decreased the most sharply by Rp370 (1.21%) to Rp30,230 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp35,130 per kg (down 0.85%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,980 per kg (up 3.26%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,350 per kg (up 0.32%)
9. Shallots: Rp30,230 per kg (down 1.21%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,190 per kg (unchanged)
