Today's Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Rice, Egg, and Oil Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (9/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, fine iodized salt, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, shallots, red chilies, pure beef, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,070 (5.4%) to Rp40,410 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots experienced the lowest decrease, dropping Rp3,700 (7.49%) to Rp45,700 per kg.

5. Red Chili Peppers: Rp45,690 per kg (down 4.33%)
6. Milkfish: Rp42,340 per kg (up 4.08%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp40,410 per kg (up 5.4%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp38,030 per kg (up 4.62%)
9. Mackerel: Rp35,600 per kg (up 0.23%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp30,110 per kg (up 0.53%)
