Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (27/8/2024) at 13:46 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, broiler chicken, medium rice, farmer-level corn, and bulk flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, granulated sugar, pure beef, mackerel, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp100 (1.69%) to Rp6,010 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,030 (2.41%) to Rp41,680 per kg.

7. Milkfish: Rp32,850 per kg (down 0.88%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,750 per kg (down 0.35%)
9. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,490 per kg (up 0.18%)
