Indonesia's Current Food Prices: What's the Price of Chicken?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (20/10/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 3 commodities increased in price and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are shallots, dry soybean (import), and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, corn at the farmer level, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was dry soybean (import), jumping by Rp110 (1.03%) to Rp10,820 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp1,790 (5.38%) to Rp31,480 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on October 20, 2024, at 09.05 WIB.
