Banten Food Price Update Today: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Tuesday, April 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (16/4/2024) at 17.35 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, milkfish, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping Rp570 (6.88%) to Rp8,850 per kg. The price of red chilies saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp5,410 (12.36%) to Rp38,370 per kg.
