Jakarta's Weekly Food Prices (May 12th): Prices of Oil, Salt, and Rice Drop

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (12/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, red chilies, granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and fine iodized salt have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp3,410 (6.18%) to Rp58,630 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the lowest decrease of Rp2,210 (5.47%) to Rp38,200 per kg.

9. Mackerel: Rp35,520 per kg (down 0.22%)
