East Java Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (22/7/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, Indian mackerel, broiler chicken, premium rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, pure beef, fine iodized salt, simple packaged cooking oil, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,600 (2.54%) to Rp64,520 per kg. Shallots saw the largest price decrease of Rp900 (3.98%) to Rp21,730 per kg.
