Low-Quality Grade II Rice Price in Southeast Sulawesi Reaches Rp 15,100 per Kg (Friday, October 21, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 12,100 per kg for low-quality grade II rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, October 21, 2022. Overall, this week's average price decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 12,110 per kg.

The price of low-quality grade II rice in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 15,100 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade II rice in this province remained unchanged. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 17,600 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Sumatra, low-quality grade II rice was sold at Rp 14,500 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality grade II rice was Rp 13,500 per kg in Central Kalimantan, Rp 13,300 per kg in South Kalimantan, and Rp 13,300 per kg in South Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, 14 provinces had low-quality grade II rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest prices for low-quality grade II rice were DKI Jakarta, West Sulawesi, and West Nusa Tenggara.
