Today's Food Prices in East Java: Onions Up, Chicken Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (18/5/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, medium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, broiler chicken, garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,360 (3.12%) to Rp44,940 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp260 (0.79%) to Rp32,790 per kg.
