Current Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (20/7/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are broiler eggs, red chilies, pure beef, curly red chilies, and dry soybeans (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,760 (2.92%) to Rp62,000 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp740 (2.36%) to Rp30,650 per kg.
