Food Prices in West Sumatra, Tuesday (29/10): What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (29/10/2024) at 11:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, granulated sugar, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), SPHP rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,770 (10.19%) to Rp40,780 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp10,310 (23.79%) to Rp33,020 per kg.
