Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Monday, April 8, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (8/4/2024) at 10:14 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, Indian mackerel, bulk wheat flour, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp400 (3.38%) to Rp12,220 per kg. Red chilies experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp3,260 (7.31%) to Rp41,320 per kg.
