Central Java Food Price Update Today: Soybean Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Friday, November 24, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (24/11/2023) at 13:26 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased.

Dry soybean (import) prices surged the highest at 0.78% or Rp100 to Rp12,940 per kg.

Next, broiler chicken and skipjack tuna prices increased by 0.46% or Rp160 to Rp34,640 per kg and 0.21% or Rp70 to Rp33,910 per kg, respectively.

The price of milkfish increased by Rp50 or 0.15% to Rp33,810 per kg, the price of bulk cooking oil increased by Rp20 or 0.14% to Rp14,190 per liter, and the price of granulated sugar increased by Rp20 or 0.12% to Rp16,340 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, curly red chilies, shallots, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chilies decreased by 2.03% or Rp1,780 to Rp86,020 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Central Java.

The price of curly red chilies was recorded at Rp67,470 per kg, down 1.52%, the price of shallots decreased to Rp26,970 per kg from Rp27,240 per kg, and the price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased by Rp110 to Rp12,550 per kg.
