Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: Salt Prices Up, Sugar Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (31/5/2024) at 10:04 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, milkfish, garlic bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp340 (3.01%), reaching Rp11,640 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp190 (2.05%), reaching Rp9,080 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp35,150 per kg (up 1.68%)
7. Mackerel: Rp31,140 per kg (up 0.39%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,210 per kg (up 0.32%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,700 per kg (up 1.99%)
10. Milkfish: Rp26,740 per kg (down 0.19%)
