Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Cooking Oil Up, Shallots Down (Saturday, January 13, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (13/1/2024) at 08.38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are packaged simple cooking oil, kembung fish, and dry soybean seeds (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, chicken eggs, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase is dry soybean seeds (import), rising by Rp570 (4.62%) to Rp12,900 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease is shallots, falling by Rp6,200 (17.08%) to Rp30,110 per kg.
