Rice Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Wednesday, February 23, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of rice (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 13,070 per kg, data as of Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 13,060 per kg.

The daily price of rice in modern markets in West Sumatra was the most expensive in Indonesia at Rp 15,550 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of rice in this province did not change. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 16,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Central Java's modern markets, the price of rice was sold at Rp 14,050 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of rice in Gorontalo was Rp 13,900 per kg, North Maluku Rp 13,700 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 13,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are eight provinces with rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest rice prices are Bali, Jambi, and East Java.
