Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Beef, Onion, and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (28/9/2024) at 16.51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, farmer-level corn, garlic bulbs, red chilies, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp480 (1.79%) to Rp27,260 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the steepest decline, dropping by Rp1,570 (4.62%) to Rp32,400 per kg.
