Chicken Prices in West Kalimantan Rise 8.85% in a Week

The price of chicken in West Kalimantan was Rp 36,900 per kg on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area saw the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, chicken prices in West Kalimantan rose by 8.85% within a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, chicken prices in this region increased by 13.54%. This means that chicken prices in the province have seen a significant increase in a month. In fact, compared to the last year's prices, the current price of chicken in West Kalimantan's modern markets is the highest on record.

For the period of January-February 2022, chicken prices in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 13.54% compared to the previous month.

Chicken prices reached their lowest point at Rp 32,500 per kg on Monday, January 3, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 36,900 per kg.

Nationally, chicken prices began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of chicken in modern markets was Rp 43,410 per kg, down 0.17% compared to the previous weekend.
