Current Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (1/6/2024) at 12.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, red chili peppers, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, broiler chicken, mackerel, premium rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp460 (4.96%) to Rp9,730 per kg. Mackerel experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp1,390 (4.16%) to Rp32,050 per kg.
