Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Tuesday (April 8th): What's the Price of Raw Chili Peppers?

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (8/4/2025) at 13.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are SPHP rice, pure beef, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and table salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,121 (4.73%), reaching Rp46,931 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves saw the sharpest decrease of Rp340 (0.75%), reaching Rp44,712 per kg.
