Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: Rice Prices Up, Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (28/11/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, shallots, mackerel, milkfish, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest, by Rp1,260 (4.61%) to Rp28,610 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the most, by Rp240 (4.18%) to Rp5,500 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on November 28, 2024, at 09:49 WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp33,300 per kg (down 0.09%)

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,940 per kg (up 2.27%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,420 per kg (up 0.53%)
