Riau Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Wednesday, January 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Riau today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (24/1/2024) at 10:24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, garlic bulbs, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp2,760 (7.07%) to Rp41,810 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most by Rp270 (2.55%) to Rp10,310 per kg.
