2022 Oscar-Winning Animated Film Had a Production Budget of Rp 2.15 Trillion

The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, is an annual awards ceremony for achievements in the film industry held in the United States (US).

This year, the 94th Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, Los Angeles, US, on March 27, 2022.

The animated film *Encanto* was crowned the winner of the 2022 Oscars.

*Encanto* is an animated film produced by Walt Disney, with a production cost of US$150 million, or approximately Rp2.15 trillion.

Walt Disney stated that the film's production took five years, from the initial concept development, storyboard creation, 3D asset creation, casting and voice recording, to the final product.

"Through deep collaboration between our production and technology divisions, and thanks to the support of everyone on the studio team, our characters and their believable world were finally brought to life, to tell the compelling story that is part of our film at Walt Disney Animation Studios," wrote Walt Disney on its official website.

As of March 21, 2022, *Encanto* had grossed US$228 million, or approximately Rp3.27 trillion, from the US and international box office.

Internationally, *Encanto* was most watched in France, China, Colombia, the United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Russia, Germany, Mexico, and Italy.
