Today's Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (22/6/2024) at 09.52 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), medium rice, farmer-level corn, red chilies, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, skipjack tuna, shallots (bulb), mackerel, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp520 (5.6%) to Rp9,810 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of SPHP rice decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,240 (9.37%) to Rp12,000 per kg.
