Current Food Prices in Indonesia: Onion, Rice, and Sugar Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (15/4/2025) at 13.17 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include fresh buffalo meat (local), shallots, premium rice, red chilies, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean seeds (import), garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, SPHP rice, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest by Rp481 (0.82%) to Rp59,021 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chilies decreased the most by Rp1,176 (2.22%) to Rp51,795 per kg.
