Jokowi Sets Allowances for Secretaries to Bureau Heads of the IKN Authority, Highest at Rp98 Million

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has established performance allowances and several facilities for officials of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority, funded by the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

This establishment is stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 44 of 2023 concerning Financial Entitlements and Other Facilities for the Secretary, Deputies, Head of the Law and Compliance Work Unit, and Directors/Heads of Bureaus of the Nusantara Capital City Authority.

Article 1 of the regulation states that the aforementioned officials are granted monthly financial entitlements and other facilities.

These financial entitlements consist of basic salary and attached allowances. These allowances include family allowance; food/rice allowance; position allowance; and performance allowance.

The basic salary and attached allowances are given according to their position class. The regulation's appendix details four classes with different allowance amounts.

At a minimum, position class 14 receives an allowance of Rp62,670,000 per month. Meanwhile, the highest, position class 17, receives Rp98,150,000 per month.

* Position class 15: Rp67,480,566
* Position class 14: Rp62,672,646

Jokowi also established several facilities provided to IKN Authority officials, including official travel, social security, housing, transportation facilities, and others, in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations. This is explained in Article 3.

The Presidential Regulation also states that all financial entitlements and facilities are granted from the date of inauguration of the secretary, deputies, head of the law and compliance work unit, and directors/heads of bureaus of the IKN Authority.

Presidential Regulation Number 44/2023 was enacted in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
