Sugar Prices in Gorontalo Are the Highest in Indonesia (Friday, September 29, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces at Rp 15,040 per kg, data as of Friday, September 29, 2023. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 15,050 per kg.

The daily price of granulated sugar in Gorontalo's modern markets was the most expensive in Indonesia at Rp 17,400 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of granulated sugar in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 12,250 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, granulated sugar was sold at Rp 17,250 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of granulated sugar in Papua was Rp 17,050 per kg, West Sulawesi Rp 16,750 per kg, and Central Sulawesi Rp 16,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 20 provinces with granulated sugar sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest granulated sugar selling prices are DKI Jakarta, Riau Islands, and North Maluku.
