The World's Richest Young People 2023 According to Forbes: Whose Child Took the Top Spot?

Mark Mateschitz topped the list of the world's youngest billionaires according to *Forbes Real Time Billionaire* as of June 20, 2023.

The Red Bull heir's total wealth reached US$34.7 billion, or approximately Rp520.9 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp15,011 per US$), at the age of 30.

Mateschitz entered this list as a newcomer after his father, Dietrich, passed away in October 2022, leaving him the Red Bull inheritance.

Clemente Del Vecchio and his two siblings followed in second place as the world's youngest billionaires according to *Forbes*.

The 18-year-old has a total net worth of US$3.5 billion, or Rp52.53 trillion. Clemente became a teenage billionaire following the death of his brother, Leonardo Del Vecchio, in June 2022.

Subsequently, Clemente was appointed the youngest heir to his family's company, Luxottica, one of the world's largest eyewear companies.

Gustav Magnar Witzoe followed next with a total net worth of US$2.7 billion, or Rp37.52 trillion.

This 29-year-old billionaire owns almost half of the salmon farming company, SalMar ASA, inherited from his father.

However, he does not have an operational role, so Gustav chooses to be a real estate and technology startup investor.

*Forbes* also mentioned that 11 out of the 15 on this list inherited their wealth from their parents. This means only 4 people became billionaires through their own efforts. Some of those who built their wealth independently are Ben Francis and Palmer Luckey.
