Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Today: Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (3/12/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, shallots, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil experienced the highest price increase of Rp240 (1.42%) to Rp17,150 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most, by Rp610 (5.99%) to Rp9,570 per kg.

6. Red Chilies: Rp31,060 per kg (down 4.02%)
7. Milkfish: Rp26,810 per kg (down 2.26%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,790 per kg (down 1.58%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,690 per kg (down 2.25%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp25,460 per kg (down 2.9%)
