Price of Super II Quality Rice in Modern Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of Super II quality rice in modern markets in West Sumatra province is recorded at Rp18,900 per kg. This price has remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of Super II quality rice in modern markets has not changed from the previously recorded Rp18,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of Super II quality rice in modern markets in West Sumatra over the past three months has decreased by 1.56%. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of Super II quality rice in modern markets in West Sumatra province was traded at Rp19,200 per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of Super II quality rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in September 2017 with an increase of 6.31%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2020 with a decrease of -6.53%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) today in West Sumatra show that 12 commodities have decreased and five have increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, Medium-sized Garlic, Garlic, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Shallots, Chicken Eggs, Medium I Quality Rice, and Medium-sized Shallots.
