Garlic Prices in Traditional Markets for the Period February 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 11:44 WIB, the daily garlic price in traditional markets in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DI Yogyakarta) has not changed compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily garlic price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp41.75 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily garlic price in traditional markets in DI Yogyakarta over the last three months has dropped by 15.38%. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily garlic price in traditional markets in DI Yogyakarta is traded at Rp48.75 thousand.

The record increase in daily garlic prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2020 with an increase of 58.45%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in April 2018 with a decrease of -19.69%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) today in DI Yogyakarta show that 14 commodities have decreased and three have increased. The staple foods with price decreases are Chicken Eggs, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Shallots, Garlic, Red Cayenne Peppers, Medium-sized Shallots, Green Cayenne Peppers, Curly Red Chilies, Large Red Chilies, Chicken Meat, Red Chilies, Medium-sized Garlic, Cayenne Peppers, and Local Granulated Sugar.
