Today's Food Prices in Indonesia, January 29: Beef and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (January 29, 2026) at 14:22 WIB, out of 48 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are large red chili, beef hindquarter, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Minyakita cooking oil, shallots, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp900 (1.61%) to Rp56,700 per kg. Meanwhile, Minyakita cooking oil prices fell the sharpest by Rp100 (0.6%) to Rp16,500 per liter.
