Latest Jakarta Food Prices: Rice Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (30/8/2024) at 15.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, premium rice, fine iodized salt, tongkol fish, and kembung fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, milkfish, broiler chicken, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Kembung fish prices surged the highest by Rp1,390 (3.94%) to Rp36,700 per kg. Shallot prices, on the other hand, decreased the most by Rp2,460 (8.23%) to Rp27,420 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on August 30, 2024, at 15.01 WIB.

5. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp38,420 per kg (down 4.07%)
6. Kembung Fish: Rp36,700 per kg (up 3.94%)
7. Tongkol Fish: Rp35,830 per kg (up 2.99%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp35,320 per kg (down 3.29%)
9. Shallots: Rp27,420 per kg (down 8.23%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,660 per kg (down 2.98%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,160 per kg (down 1.36%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple): Rp17,910 per liter (down 0.06%)
