Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onions Up, Eggs Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (5/9/2024) at 14.14 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are skipjack tuna, milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium-grain rice, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, broiler chicken meat, red chili peppers, dry soybean (import), and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp430 (1.57%) to Rp27,740 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of chicken eggs experienced the steepest decline, dropping by Rp530 (2.0%) to Rp25,910 per kg.
