Daily Fresh Chicken Egg Prices at Modern Markets, December 2023-2024

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets in West Papua Province is recorded at Rp37,200 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the last month, the daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp36,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets in West Papua over the last three months has decreased by 7.81%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets in West Papua Province was traded at Rp40,350 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2018 with an increase of 29.77%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in February 2019 with a decrease of -21.95%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Papua show ten commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Red Chili, Chili Peppers, Super I Rice, Beef, Red Chili Peppers, Inferior I Rice, Green Chili Peppers, Grade 1 Beef, Large Red Chili, and Local Sugar.
