Price of Bird's Eye Chili in Traditional Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 11:44 WIB, the daily price of bird's eye chili in traditional markets in North Sumatra province has not changed compared to the previous day, nor has it changed in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the development of daily bird's eye chili prices in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp46 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily price of bird's eye chili in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the last three months has increased by 13.43% from the previously traded price of Rp39.45 thousand.

The record increase in daily bird's eye chili prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2019 with an increase of 89.67%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -23.01%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) today in North Sumatra are recorded as 14 commodities down and 13 others up. The sembako with decreasing prices are Large Red Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Curly Red Chili, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, Cooking Oil, Medium-sized Garlic, Low Quality II Rice, Red Chili, Chicken Eggs, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 and Garlic.
