Price of Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs in Modern Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 08:23 WIB, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in modern markets in South Sumatra province has not changed compared to the previous day, just like the price developments in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp27.2 thousand per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in modern markets in South Sumatra over the last three months has seen a 0% decrease. According to the historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in modern markets in South Sumatra province is traded at Rp28.2 thousand per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2022 with an increase of 52.77%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in November 2020 with a decrease of -19.25%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in South Sumatra shows that five commodities have decreased and 14 others have increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Granulated Sugar, Chicken Meat, Fresh Layer Chicken Meat, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar and Local Granulated Sugar.

5. Grade 1 Beef per Kg Rp200.55 thousand per kg (no change)
6. Beef per Kg Rp170.15 thousand per kg (no change)
7. Rice per Kg Rp16.1 thousand per kg (no change)
8. Shallots per Kg Rp49.7 thousand per kg (up 43.02%)
9. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp58.95 thousand per kg (up 10.6%)
10. Chicken Eggs per Kg Rp29.4 thousand per kg (up 8.09%)
