Yogyakarta Food Price Update Today: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (22/1/2024) at 11:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, granulated sugar, premium rice, medium rice, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp310 (2.03%) to Rp15,580 per liter. Meanwhile, red chili saw the largest price decrease, dropping Rp6,640 (15.88%) to Rp35,180 per kg.
