Current Food Prices in Central Java: Onion and Beef Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (1/11/2024) at 16.04 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, granulated sugar, packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, broiler chicken, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp450 (1.45%) to Rp31,540 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the steepest price drop, decreasing by Rp940 (2.59%) to Rp35,300 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on November 1, 2024, at 16.04 WIB.
